Declared as one of the <b>national treasures</b> of the <b>Philippines</b> by President Marcos, the<b> Paoay Church</b> also known as St. Augustine Church was built on 1704 to 1894. The church was made of  coral blocks, tree sap, stucco-plastered bricks and lumber to withstand the earthquake with is common to the north. The church served as a lookout for the katipunero’s on 1896 revolution.<br />

When I went to<b> Ilocos</b>, Our first Destination was in Paoay church.  Looking at the church made me think that I was in the Spanish Era. The church seems so concrete and beautiful.  I am very glad that people from Ilocos preserves the natural beauty of the Church. This made me say " I am very proud I am a Filipino"<br />
